Iwokrama partnered with Amazon Conservation Treaty Organization (ACTO) and the Guyana Wildlife Conservation and Management Commission (GWCMC) for the development of Management Plans for prioritized Amazonian species: yellow- and red-footed tortoises (Chelonioids spp.), caiman (Caiman crocodilus, Paleosuchus trigonatus and Paleosuchus palpebrosus) and the lowland tapir (Tapirus terrestris).
