Biodiversity and Protected Areas Management

GTA is currently working with communities across Guyana to support tourism development.

Iwokrama received funding from Biopama for project titled ‘Improve infrastructure and capacity for monitoring and community development within Iwokrama Forest’. The grant supported equipment to support monitoring and youth activities, training workshops and rehabilitation works for the ranger stations.

The grant supported the purchase of essential equipment for biodiversity monitoring and youth engagement, the delivery of training workshops, and the rehabilitation of ranger stations — strengthening our long-term conservation efforts on the ground.
